Sydney pre ride

Monday 10 October - had me assembling the bike at the terminal before heading over to Christine's which was a 30+ km ride across Sydney. I didn't want to spend lots of time with getting the bike perfect within the airport terminal so after my speedy exit I pulled up on the cycleway and carried out some refinements to the setup. Although in my haste to exit the terminal I managed to leave my drink bottle and its handlebar caddy in the bike box! A couple of days later I did a ride around the harbour to make  sure all was well with the bike.

Arrived at Christine's in the afternoon and had a very enjoyable five days with her and also managed to catch up with Lynette and Peter as well as Sheryl and Paul.

On Saturday I headed off for the City once again to meet up with Peter who was flying up from Melbourne and it was great to see him after our three years of not being able to ride together. Peter assembled his bike and found we needed a valve tool to make sure the  valve would stay put - so off we went in search of a bike shop which we found and problem solved.

That evening we took the ferry to Manly and had dinner over there.

We mapped out a 45 km ride for us to do on the Sunday and today we went and completed it - again it had me travelling over the bridge and now I can say I have ridden over the Sydney Harbour Bridge four times so you might say by now I know my way across it,

Looking forward to tomorrow when we will head to Campbelltown which is only about 80 km out of Sydney. That's when our ride proper will start.
