Day 2 - Campbelltown to Goulburn

We left with two possible routes, one of 66 km and one of 77 km. It appeared that the 66 km route was a cycleway close to the Hume Highway however it became apparent that there was not so the route of choice became the 77 km one. The first few km's were backtracking on our ride in to Campbelltown from Narellan and once there we turned left and headed more or less along what was the Old Hume Highway. Again there were good cycleways and then they morphed in to very quiet country roads with only a few km's of highway that had a good shoulder for us to ride. We had two, 2 km sections of gravel road and one with quite a steep hill that we decided it was better to walk up than try to ride. Even with our sturdy treaded tyres the fact that they are still very narrow and inflated to a high pressure means that traction, grip and stability make the ride very unstable, hence the decision to walk not ride.

It's been overcast for the whole day with quite black clouds in sky and fortunately no rain.

With only 80 km's for the day again we were at the Motel by 3:00 PM with plenty of time to clean up and for me to go and buy another pair of sox!

Not so many pics today as I am trying to capture video on my GoPro so lots of editing required at some time down the track.
